Is a self-guided tour right for you?
You’re comfortable with basic bike repairs.
On a self-guided tour, you or someone in your group will need to be able to change a flat tire in the chance that you get a puncture. You should carry all the necessary tools (a spare tube, a small pump, and tire levers) and be proficient in using them.
You don’t need a support vehicle.
You are able to push through the day’s ride and get to the hotel or campground for the evening. No matter how wet or windy it can get, you’ll push on and make it under your power or initiative.
You enjoy navigating your ride.
Each day you can follow the GPS directions and turn-by-turn navigation of the planned route on your smartphone. You can determine where you are going and get back on track if needed.
You are self-sufficient and independent.
You love the independence of a holiday you take at your own pace. You love having an extra coffee or sleeping in a little longer but you are aware of the day’s ride and where you need to end up. You know when you’ll start each day, and be able to charge your phone, bike computer, bike lights and e-bike if needed.
